About This Website
The purpose of this website is to preserve the history of the Odessa Fire
Department and make that history available to everyone with access to the
World Wide Web.
This website was built in 2005, after spending 18 previous years researching
and collecting photos, old news films, microfilm, various documents and
personnel interviews with the firefighters themselves, many of which are not
alive today.
I retired from the Odessa Fire Department after 28 years of service and
remain an Active Retired member of the Odessa Firefighters Association.
